Our Medical Penrith Wide Shot Reception

22nd Oct 2018

Our Medical Home Penrith sets a new standard of Healthcare

Our Medical Home Penrith opens in Jamisontown today, setting a new standard of healthcare for the local area.

Our Medical Home Penrith has six male and female bulk-billing GPs offering a complete range of general practice services. This contemporary medical centre will also offer onsite pathology, radiology, physiotherapy and allied health services. Dentistry will commence early in 2019.

Since Penrith is a District of Workforce Shortage (DWS) locals have less access to Medicare subsidised medical services compared to the Australian average. It’s hoped that by offering bulk-billed consultations until 10pm every day of the year, Our Medical Home Penrith will help to address this need for greater access to healthcare.

Additionally, being open late and on weekends, with a large treatment room and radiology onsite, means that Our Medical Home Penrith is well equipped to handle accident and casualty. This will help locals avoid the already overstretched Nepean Hospital emergency department for minor injuries.

Well-known local GP, Dr John Hillman, will be relocating his Jamison Rd practice to Our Medical Home Penrith. In addition, Dr Harry Pope and Dr Amabel Harding, two respected GPs from surrounding Western Sydney communities, will also bring their extensive experience to the practice.

It’s expected that the number of general practitioners at the medical centre will increase as demand for services grows.
